FAQ

  1. Support

Here’s a list of our frequently asked support questions. If your question isn’t answered here, feel free to contact us.

    Q.DPI?

DPI is a terminology used to describe dots per inch in an image. Very simply, the higher the DPI, the better the image or picture will reproduce. The DPI determines the quality of the final product. We use a range from 72 DPI to 1,800 DPI, it really depends on the file and final size of the image. For example all of our business cards are created with a resolution of 350 DPI, there for giving the business card a nice crisp look. Every letter and image have a nice hard line and hardly any pixilated areas. “In the print world 300 DPI is usually the industry standard”.

    Q. Workable files?

Computer displays are made up from grids of small rectangular cells called pixels. The picture is built up from these cells. The smaller and closer the cells are together, the better the quality of the image, but the bigger the file needed to store the data. If the number of pixels is kept constant, the size of each pixel will grow and the image becomes grainy (pixellated) when magnified, as the resolution of the eye enables it to pick out individual pixels.

Vector graphics files store the lines, shapes and colors that make up an image as mathematical formula. A vector graphics program uses these mathematical formula to construct the screen image, building the best quality image possible, given the screen resolution. The mathematical formula determine where the dots that make up the image should be placed for the best results when displaying the image. Since these formula can produce an image scalable to any size and detail, the quality of the image is only determined by the resolution of the display, and the file size of vector data generating the image stays the same. Printing the image to paper will usually give a sharper, higher resolution output than printing it to the screen but can use exactly the same vector data file.

  2. Production

Curious about production? Check out these frequent questions.

    Q. Turn around time?

Our turn around time is 2-3 business days. To cut in line would require a rush fee of $90.

    Q. What about installation, how does that work?

Installation can be handled a couple ways. If you have an indoor or outdoor location available we can send installers directly to you to complete the installation on site. If you don’t have an indoor area we recommend that you bring it to our location to apply the graphics. A controlled environment is extremely important to quality of the finished product. Wind, rain, extreme temperatures, dirt, etc. all contribute to the breakdown of the install process. If you are further than an hour from the closest installer an additional trip charge may apply.

    Q. Cut vinyl vs Print vinyl?

Cut vinyl is a non printable vinyl that can be layered on for multiple color combination. The layers can only be as much as 4 different colors. Print vinyl is a Eco-Solvent material that absorbers the ink from the printer. The print needs 24 hours to gas out.
Both Cut and Print vinyl can be given a cut line to die-cut the image.

    Q. Lamination Vs No Laminate?

The laminate is used on our printed materials. It basically protects the medias ink from UV rays, rain and everyday environment. The laminate is also able to give the finished media a gloss to matte look. Our lower end laminate is a liquid laminate.

    Q. Rush Fee?

Our usual turn around time is 3-4 business days, there for a fee of $90 dollars is required to jump ahead.
Why is there a rush fee?? Well we have a very healthy work flow, we usually work on a first come first serve basis. Every project is different so each one requires our precious time. The fee is basically to cut in line at get ahead of everyone.

  3. Marketing

Frequent questions about our branding options.

    Q.What is branding?

A brand is a name used to identify and distinguish a specific product, service, or business.

A product identity, or brand image are typically the attributes one associates with a brand, how the brand owner wants the consumer to perceive the brand – and by extension the branded company, organization, product or service. The brand owner will seek to bridge the gap between the brand image and the brand identity. Effective brand names build a connection between the brand personality as it is perceived by the target audience and the actual product/service. The brand name should be conceptually on target with the product/service (what the company stands for). Furthermore, the brand name should be on target with the brand demographic. Typically, sustainable brand names are easy to remember, transcend trends and have positive connotations. Brand identity is fundamental to consumer recognition and symbolizes the brand’s differentiation from competitors.

Q.How can I use my logo (Branding)?

The recognition and perception of a brand is highly influenced by its visual presentation. A brand’s visual identity is the overall look of its communications. Effective visual brand identity is achieved by the consistent use of particular visual elements to create distinction, such as specific fonts, colors, and graphic elements. At the core of every brand identity is a brand mark, or logo.

  4. Return Policy

Frequent questions about our return options.

Q.What is the time limit I have on returns or complain about errors?

On art projects we send out art approvals to the customer. The customer must over view the lay out and look for multiple things. These multiple tasks are viewing art layouts, colors, image placement, text, misspelled words, proper grammar and making sure everything is correct. Once the art is approved and we have a portion of or full payment we will move in to production. We will not replace or refund you on your mistake, the only way this works is if there a correction noted that we simply missed.

At the time of payment you are required to sign final approval with your invoice. Once that is signed you are approving the project is done and you are satisfied. So make sure you view and over view before signing and leaving our place. There are of course certain circumstances where we will replace or fix a problem. This is usually on material flaws. We would like to help you as much as we can so if a problem does occur please leave damaged area as it is and come to our place so we can determine an exchange or not. Calling us and telling on over the phone or email is not enough we have to see it with out own eyes.
