We can custom make a window banner for any vehicle and even motorcycles. We want to help you install your custom kit so follow the step-by-step instructions and photos for an easy install. If you have any questions of comments please contact one of our technicians and they will be more than happy to assist in your issues.

Step 1

Note: Check your local laws for any legal issues regarding width and colors for your vinyl window banner.

Step 2

Here are the tools necessary to complete your installation.
  • (1) 9x55 Strip of high performance vinyl
  • (1) Spray bottle with a 50/50 mixture of soap to wather
  • (1) Vinyl squeegee
  • (1) X-Acto with extra blades
  • (1) Heat gun

Some things to remember.

  • 1. Any bugs or residue will show through the vinyl if they are not removed before you install the vidor.
  • 2. Weather stripping collects dirt so take the proper time to clean underneath it. If it gets under the vinyl, it will ruin it.

Step 3

If there was a visor banner on the vehicle at one time, be sure to remove the adhesive with an adhesive remover.

Step 4

Thoroughly clean the windshild with a window cleaner. This will be the only time you use a product with ammonia.

Step 6

Neutralize any window cleaner with the 50/50 soapy solution.

Step 7

Carefully peel the vinyl visor from it's backing.

Step 8

The vinyl should peel easily.

Step 9

Spray the back of the visor with soapy water.

Step 10

Be thorough and be careful not to let the visor touch the floor.

Step 11

A helping hand is always welcome, stretch the visor across the windshield making sure to cover the top and sides of the windshield.

Step12

In order to level both sides, usa a common landmark. We sugest the corner of the windshield. Since we did not want to use the full length in this application, we used the top of the weatherstripping.

Step 13

Be sure to verify that both sides are the same.

Step 14

Your visor should look like this.

Step 15

To protect the glossy finish of the vinyl, try covering your squeegee with a thick paper towel. Start at the middle and squeeze the water and air out towards the sides.

Step 16

By squeezing from teh top to the bottom edge you should be able to get most of the trapped water and air out.

Step 17

Follow the weatherstripping with the squeegee to define the curves in the corners.

Step 18

Time to load your x-acto with a fresh blade.

Step 19

Using the squeegee, push the vinyl against the weatherstripping. Rest the blade against the weatherstripping and use it as a guide to cut the excess vinyl.

Step 20

Be sure to trim the corners slowly to achieve a smooth curve cut.

Step 21

Trim the sides.

Step 22

Squeegee the top edge upward to remove any remaining water and air.

Step 23

Use a heat gun to help in the adhesion process.

Step 24

Nice and smooth is what you are looking for. No air bubble should be noticable.

Step 25

Clean your window with some window cleaner so you dont have to use your wipers over the freshly laid vinyl.

Step 25

Now you are done. You can now add more vinyl on top of the banner like your club logo or other sponsor sayings.
